The town seems to shrink day by day,
The feelings of people are filled with dismay.
The Great Depression is taking its toll,
There is no way to reach your goal.
The hotel is no longer full,
Life is becoming very dull.
Peoples values go down as time goes by,
People who were honest now lie.
The family store is suffering,
You can't seem to eat anything.
It's getting harder to put food on the table,
You've been spending most of your time at the stable.
The Depression needs to go away,
You are waiting day by day.
